About This Place

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Brooklyn at 184 DeKalb Ave, Miss Ada is a standout Mediterranean and Israeli restaurant that delivers an exhilarating culinary journey steeped in authentic flavors and contemporary flair. Celebrated for its housemade Labne, tender Octopus, and the unforgettable Falafel, this dining gem offers a refined take on traditional dishes, inviting guests to savor the essence of the Mediterranean coast right in New York.

The menu at Miss Ada reads like a love letter to Israeli cuisine, packed with vibrant, savory gems such as the smoky Babaganoush, the rich and nutty Muhammara, and the fluffily warm Pita Bread that’s perfect for scooping up their beet humus or the star dish, Chicken Shawarma Hummus — a sublime blend of spiced chicken, creamy tahini, and fresh parsley. For those seeking something unique, the Lamb Shawarma Hummus and Merguez Hummus offer bold, hearty flavors, while the Short Rib Hummus is nothing short of decadent.

Diners are often bewitched by the clever fusion of tastes and textures found in items like the crispy Cauliflower Shawarma, the Kofta Kebab accented with Baharat and Harissa, or the refreshing Market Salad that balances out the heartier plates. The kitchen’s attention to detail extends to indulgent desserts like the Coconut Lavender Cake, a delicate, fragrant finish to an already memorable meal.

Complementing the food is an inspired beverage program with standout cocktails such as the Tell Aviv Cocktail, the smoky-sweet House Negroni, and the inventive Beluga Bloody Mary—each crafted to elevate the flavors of the dishes and refresh the palate.

What truly sets Miss Ada apart is its warm, intimate atmosphere, and the exceptional hospitality that guests consistently rave about. From thoughtful menu explanations to attentive service, the team creates a welcoming environment that feels both personal and polished. As Jess Marnik joyfully recalls, the staff’s generosity and attentiveness—from comped dips to prompt drink refills—turn a meal into a cherished experience. Sydney Barton’s celebration memories further highlight Miss Ada’s knack for making every visit special, with surprises like gelato and attentive gestures that feel deeply sincere.

Whether you’re joining for a lively brunch seated outdoors or savoring a romantic dinner by the bar, Miss Ada invites you to explore a thoughtfully curated menu designed for sharing and discovery. It’s a place where every bite is layered with history, passion, and a burst of flavor that lingers long after the last morsel. Will be dreaming about this dinner for weeks to come! The service was astounding, with staff explaining the menu and items thoroughly. Our plates, water, and drinks were consistently refreshed. Staff comped all of our dips and our first round of drinks due to our table being ready 20 minutes late, and they offered us nice bar seating while we waited. Everything we ordered was so flavorful, paced wonderfully, and came out fresh. We ordered the whipped ricotta, muhammara, labne, chicken shawarma, salmon and kofte kababs, falafel, and a seasonal salad. We’d definitely return our next time in Brooklyn!

Miss Ada is a delightful spot near Fort Greene with delicious food and outstanding cocktails. The Veridian cocktail was amazing - the combination of tequila, pepper, and cucumber creates a perfect sweet to heat ratio. And the chicken shawarma hummus is a standout - the tahini is smooth while the shawarma is nicely spiced and tender. The warm pita serves as a perfect vehicle to scoop it up.

Second time here and absolutely amazed again. Everything that we ordered was fantastic and I love the wine program here. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful while ordering. My partner and I sat at the bar and we can’t wait to go back:) Can’t wait to try everything on the menu.

What a yummy brunch! We sat outside with a large group, so the traffic took away from the atmosphere a bit but the food and service made up for the cars driving by. I recommend ordering more dishes and everyone sharing so you can try more items.

Celebrated my husband's birthday and had the most wonderful experience!! Every single bite of food was absolutely delicious. We especially loved the short rib hummus, halloumi skewers, falafel, and pita bread Super friendly and sweet staff as well. They even surprised us at the end with a little cup of gelato with a candle in it. This was our 4th time dining at Miss Ada and we will definitely continue to come back!!

Had an amazing dining experience at Miss Ada! The sweet potato dip came highly recommended by the waiter, and it absolutely lived up to the hype—so rich and flavorful, I’d go back just for that. I also tried the salmon, which was beautifully cooked and full of flavor. While the food was outstanding, I do wish the portion sizes were a bit more generous for the price. It would also be great to see a few more dessert options on the menu. Still, it's definitely a spot I’d return to!
